About the Exchange Rates XML File

There are a number of variables in the file whose names are self-explanatory.  The variable <CHANGE> describes the rate of change in percentage points compared to the previously published exchange rate.
 
It is possible to obtain an XML file containing just one currency, and XML file for a particular date other than the date of last publication, or an XML file containing just one currency for a particular date, by adding the appropriate parameter at the end of the file name.
 
The following values are the currency code options:
 
01        Dollar              United States
02        Pound              United Kingdom
03        Krona              Sweden
05        Franc               Switzerland
06        Dollar              Canada
12        Krone              Denmark
17        Rand               South Africa
18        Dollar              Australia
27        Euro                European Monetary Union
28        Krona              Norway
31        Yen                 Japan
69        Dinar               Jordan (currency notes)
70        Lira                  Lebanon (currency notes)
79        Lira                  Egypt (currency notes)
 
Parameters you can choose from:
?curr=nn   To obtain a file containing the exchange rate for a particular currency for the previous day.  Nn is the currency code.​
?rdate=yyyymmdd​ To obtain a file containing the exchange rates for a particular date.  You must write the date in the yyyymmdd format.​
?rdate=yyyymmdd&curr=nn   To obtain a file containing the exchange rate for a particular date and a particular currency.​
