An IMF delegation is due to arrive in Israel on 8 January 2006 to assess the supervision of banks in Israel
 
On Sunday 8 January 2006 an IMF delegation is due to arrive in Israel to assess the supervision of banks in Israel The delegation, comprising four economists, will be headed by Jonathan Fiechter, Deputy Director of the Monetary and Financial Systems Department of the IMF.
During its visit the delegation will meet with the Governor of the Bank of Israel, Professor Stanley Fischer, the Supervisor of Banks, Mr. Yoav Lehman, senior members of the Banking Supervision Department in the Bank of Israel, and several leading Israeli bankers.
The delegation will stay in Israel until 15 January, and its findings will be incorporated into the IMF's annual report on Israel's economy, to be published in April 2006.
