The Bank of Israel Foreign Exchange Reserves, December 2005

The foreign exchange reserves at the end of December 2005 stood at $ 27,805 million, a drop of about $ 198 million from their level at the end of November 2005. The decline was due mainly to government withdrawals from deposits with the Bank of Israel, to finance its activities abroad, and was offset in part by Bank of Israel income from the investment of the reserves.
