The Bank of Israel Foreign Exchange Reserves, April 2006

The foreign exchange reserves at the end of April 2006 stood at $ 27,824 million, a fall of $ 72 million from their level at the end of March 2006. The decline was due mainly to government withdrawals from its accounts with the Bank of Israel to finance its activities abroad, and most of it was offset by the Bank's income from the investment of the reserves.
