The Bank of Israel Foreign Exchange Reserves, June 2008
 
Israel’s foreign exchange reserves at the end of June 2008 stood at $31,274 million, a rise of $1,431 million from their level at the end of May 2008.
The change derived from:
On the one hand, Bank of Israel purchases on the market of $400 million as part of the plan to increase the foreign exchange reserves over the next two years, an increase of $1,109 million in banks’ foreign currency deposits in the Bank of Israel, and a revaluation of about $171 million in the foreign exchange reserves
On the other hand, public sector transfers to abroad of about $249 million.
