The Bank of Israel introduces an additional liquidity instrument in the financial markets

The Bank of Israel today introduced an additional liquidity instrument in the financial markets.

In light of the high volatility in the world financial markets and pressure on US$ funding in a large number of economies, the Bank of Israel transacted US$/NIS swaps with a one  week maturity with the domestic banking sector, in order to supply US$ liquidity to domestic banks.
