Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Amir Yaron participated in an online meeting with other central bank governors, during which he was the main speaker in a professional discussion on cyber issues
The Governor of the Bank of Israel
participated this week in a meeting with central bank governors from around the
world who are members of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). During the meeting, the governors discussed
the effects of the COVID crisis and the measures necessary to rehabilitate
economies. The meeting took place online
due to the crisis.
As part of the discussions that took
place, Governor Yaron was the main speaker in a professional discussion
regarding cyber risks and the financial system in view of the COVID
crisis. Governor Yaron started the discussion
by welcoming the Emirati governor to the group of governors taking part in the
bi-monthly meetings of the BIS, and wished him continued fruitful cooperation
in view of the advancement of relations between the two countries.
