Why a new Shekel? exhibit

The Bank of Israel has launched a new exhibit, depicting the unique story of Israel’s Shekel, to mark the 70 years since the Bank's founding.

The “Why a new Shekel?” exhibit presents major chapters in the history of the Israeli currency, among the State’s national symbols, and displays items from the Bank of Israel collection that are being shown to the public for the first time.
