The Bank of Israel today held a conference for representatives of Association of Mortgage Advisors in order to present and discuss the reform to increase transparency in the mortgage market.
The Bank of Israel today held a
conference for representatives of Association of Mortgage Advisors in order to
present and discuss the reform to increase transparency in the mortgage
market. At the conference, which was
organized by the Bank of Israel’s Communications, Community and Government
Relations Division as part of the “Connecting to the Community” events, the
actions taken by the Bank of Israel as part of the reform were presented, and
there was an open discussion about the launch of the reform.The conference was opened by Bank of
Israel Governor Prof. Amir Yaron, whose remarks can be found here.
Following the Governor, Supervisor of
Banks Yair Avidan, Head of the Banking Supervision Department’s Bank-Customer
Regulation Unit Granit Ofek, and Head of the Finance Division in the Bank of
Israel Research Department Dr. Yossi Sa’adon also spoke.
Later in the conference, the Head of
the Communications, Community and Government Relations Division, Nurit
Felter-Eitan, held a session at which questions and answers were presented on
various topics and actual examples of the implementation of the reform at its
outset were presented.
The conference ended with a tour of the
Bank of Israel Visitors Center, led by the Head of the Center, Dr. Tzadok Alon.
