אתגרים עבור המשק בעידן הגלובליזציה.

תקציר:

אתחיל בכמה מילים באנגלית ואחר-כך אעבור לעברית.

(I will cover two topics today. The first, very briefly, is to report on the condition of the Israeli economy, which is very good. We are of course closely following  developments in the world economy, and are doing whatever we can to minimize the adverse consequences of any contagion that reaches us from abroad. The second topic is the independence of the Bank of Israel. We see it as essential to the growth and resiliency of the Israeli economy to strengthen the independence of the Bank of Israel, and to that end, are working together with the government, particularly the Treasury, to present a new Bank of Israel law to the Knesset very soon. I will describe the features of that law in the speech in Hebrew that follows.)
